s I have written several reports on the Inquisition, I have decided to devote an informative site to what was one of the most fascinating
chapters in the history of Catholicism in France.

Between the Black Legend, the version spread by its victims, and the White Legend , the version described by the Catholic school, the Inquisition still captivates historians to this very day. Its dark side - the archives are still inaccessible today - its procedures, witch hunts, fight against the devil, Joan of Arc, stakes and torture, are just some of the subjects that still pique everyone's imagination, from literature to the graphic arts to the cinema.

That is why I am inviting you to accompany me through the remarkable history of the very Holy Inquisition via an account that contrasts northern and southern France.
